March 29th: We had a district meeting in Stockbridge & afterward took all the missionaries out to eat for lunch. I had an appointment with the nurse practitioner at the endocrinologist's office & she said one nodule was big enough (about an inch) that it needed to be biopsies so we set up the biopsy. Appointment for the 8th. On the way home we went by Walmart to pick up a few things. Later Barry went to visit Brother Swafford & gave him a blessing.
March 30th: cooked chicken salad today. Took some Democrat Deli pasta to the Wicklund's--they really liked it! We visited with Brother & Sister France. They told us that it looked like their daughter & 2 little grandsons would be moving in with them. They said that the son in law didn't want to be married any more. The 2 little grandsons were so cute! Brother France said he wanted to get them in Primary so I hope they do bring them to church.
March 31st: Barry went with Brother Price to visit Brother Morris. Then they went by Sister Oglsby's (again!) but she wasn't home. I had an appointment to get my hair cut this afternoon. After that we went by the nursing home & took Dorothy Hosea a candy bar & a little gift bag with lotion, lip gloss & Werther's candy for her birthday & I made a gift bag for her roommate too. They were both really happy to get them. Then we visited with Sister Cox (also in the nursing home) & took her some Werther's too. She is always happy to see us--she seems to be getting weaker. Then we went to the Wicklund's & delivered food to the Cockram's. Then we had the Book of Mormon class. Only Ann Owens was there--she is an investigator. We were able to answer some of her questions. After we left there we had some donuts & snacks that we took over to the Huddleston's. Busy day!
April 1st: Today I cooked some soup with canned vegetables that the Dotson's gave us that they put up from their garden last summer. It was good! We took a birthday candy bar to Fay Peder, Laurie Swafford & Sister McLaughlin. No one had contacted Sister McLaughlin in a long time. She told us that she believed in the church but she didn't practice it because she married outside of the church. She said she would like for us to teach her children before the oldest son goes to college in the fall.
April 2nd: We went to Danielle Grover's baptism this morning! This is the daughter of the man that slammed the door in our face when we first got to Jackson! We hurried home to watch both conference sessions & Barry went to the Priesthood session that night.
Elder Waite, Danielle Grover, and Elder Walker
President & Sister Foote came to Danielle's baptism
Lee Greyson
April 3rd: watched both sessions of General conference. Melissa & the children came to see us later that afternoon! Nathan had pushed a button on the van which left all of the lights on Sat. night so the battery was dead but Kevin jumped the van off & ran the motor for about ten minutes & it recharged the battery! I was so glad that they were able to come!
Closing with this scripture from Helaman 3:35 Nevertheless they did fast & pray oft, & did wax stronger & stronger in their humility, & firmer & firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy & consolation, yea, even to the purifying & the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God.
